We found a cave
A tunnel
Leading to the core
When headlamps die
We use our voices
To guide us
In the maze
Sound becomes chant
Chant becomes choir
On the beat
Of stalactite drops
What happens
Deep inside
The wanderer’s voice
Will lull it
In this cave
The enchanted song
Guides the growth
Of the roots
There is power
In our spines
Our back laying
On the ground
We can feed
On this force
There can’t be
A stronger bliss
Then when we connect
In the abyss
Where matter
Is still a chaotic noise
Bodies are songs
And we merge
In one compost
Spellbound
Love is to digest
Love is to ingest
We dug deep
Can you smell
Our flesh rotting
Can you smell
Life arising
From death
Guided by the voices
We grow out of the ground
To meet our first sun
A violent burn
Our skin has shed
Transparent and soft
Fragile and porous
In the vineyard
Our hides harden
We summon patience
For the thickening
of the wanderer’s shell
We yield to the forces
For power is also
To know
